About the band:
The history of Royal Orphan can be traced back to 1989 when guitarist/vocalist/bass player Brendan Kelly met with drummer Joey Migz as freshmen in high school. The two formed a lifelong friendship and played together in various incarnations of the project which eventually became Royal Orphan. Their sound became refined over time, rich with influences that span decades and genres into their own style which focuses on a singer/songwriter approach to traditional heavy metal. Royal Orphan exists primarily as a studio project, joined by bass player Dan Kelleher to complete them as a trio for select live gigs. WELCOME TO THE FUTURE OF THE OLD SCHOOL!!!!!

Review from Deaf Forever magazine Germany, followed by a translation via Google

Amazing what potential sometimes slumbers in the underground for years: ROYAL ORPHAN were launched three decades ago, but used various other names until the resolution in 2005. Only since the restart in 2017, the duo called Royal Orphan and has now actually released a recording for the first time. The Digipak CD features melodic Power Metal with progressive offset tracks, which was quite common in the '90s. The song material is flawless, and guitar work done perfectly by Brendan Kelly, but his voice did gain a little more power to make ROYAL ORPHAN even more radiant. But even today it is worth shopping at royalorphan.bandcamp.com
